For your boat handling operations, choose the expertise of Port Navy Service

Regardless of the type of your boat (sailing boat, catamaran, motor boat or yacht, or trimaran), we have suitable equipment and experience to bring you the best launching and lift-out service. Depending on the type of your boat, her size, her weight, and her draught, we will use the hoisting equipment that is best suited to handle her.

Recognised know-how for more than 30 years in handling monohulls

With nearly 40,000 handling operations performed, Port Navy Service has know-how recognised by thousands of pleasure sailors and boaters. Depending on the monohull, the handling is performed using a Travel lift or hydraulic trailers.

For handling using the Travel Lift, we use protective sheaths for the slings so as to preserve your boat’s hull (below the waterline).

For handling on the trailers, the pads that are covered with a thickness of 5 cm of foam and that are large (1 metre by 50 centimetres) ensure that limited forces are exerted on your boat’s hull (above the waterline).

We also have over 20 years of expertise in the delicate handling of catamarans and other multihulls

Aware of the boom in multihulls, investments in facilities and equipment were made in the late 1990’s :

  • A slipway with a width of 10 metres and with an overall working passageway of 13 metres;
  • Hydraulic trailers designed and engineered for handling catamarans.

For handling on the trailers, the pads that are covered with a thickness of 5 cm of foam and that are large (1 metre by 50 centimetres) ensure that limited forces are exerted on the structure of your catamaran.

Stepping and unstepping your mast(s) : leave it to the professionals!

Port Navy Service is situated close to the mouth of the Rhône. A gateway to the Mediterranean for Northern Europe. Every year, many pleasure sailors therefore need to unstep the masts of their boats so that they can motor along the various inland waterways, canals and rivers, and to restep their masts once they arrive at the sea. We are equipped to handle these needs. We propose a mast handling and storage service. We can also put you in touch with professionals for transporting your mast(s) by road.
